Our Fallen Heroes and exhibition about former
pupils of Chilvers Coton Free School who were
killed during WW1 – researched by Molly Hopper
Steve Day Presents…a selection of local material from Steve’s amazing collection.
Nuneaton Memories A selection of photos not seen before, chosen by Mark Palmer.
Our Newspaper Archive of bound editions of
local newspapers. Includes four newly acquired
volumes for 1890, 1893, 1901 and 1936.
Light refreshments throughout the day. Whilst

Sunday 9 September Abbey Church of St Mary, Manor Court Road,
2.00pm – 4.30pm CV11 5HU. A chance to have a close look at this
wonderful building with a history going back to
the 12th century, and so important in the story
of Nuneaton.

Saturday 15 September Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery, Riversley
11.00am – 4.00pm Park CV11 5TU. A new event for the Museum:
Life in the Iron Age. Guarderobe members
will take you to see food, weapons and clothing
as they were in around 100 BC. Just drop in.
Saturday 15 September St Nicholas Church, Vicarage St, CV11 4AZ
10.00am – 4.00pm New Exhibition: The Long Connection: St
Nicolas Church & King Edward Vl School
from the 16th to the 20th Century.
2.30pm – 3.30pm There is also a guided tour of the church and
the old grammar school by David Paterson.

Saturday 15 September Nuneaton Memories will have a scanning
10.00am – 1.00pm session at Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre.
Mark Palmer and his team of scanners will be
there to scan your pictures of old Nuneaton and
the area.

Saturday 8 September Bedworth Almshouses, All Saints Square,
10.00am – 2.00pm CV12 8NR will present a selection of photos and
documents relating to the town, schools and
Almshouses. A wonderful chance to look closely
at the amazing Governors’ Hall and take light
refreshments in the Residents Lounge.
Saturday 8 September Zion Baptist Church. Newdigate Rd, CV12 8QY
10.00am – 4.00pm A chance to see this superb modern building
by local architect Keith Corrigan. There will be
an exhibition of church history and beliefs.
